How to Manage Custom Filters in RefReps Roster

Custom Filters are a new powerful organizational tool in the RefReps Instructor Portal. If you're managing a large roster, officiating groups, different skill levels, or learners spread across different parts of a season, filters let you cut through the noise and focus on exactly who you need.

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Login to your RefReps Instructor account (https://learn.refreps.com/login)
  2. Navigate to the Manage Learners section by clicking the "Manage Learners" icon on the left-hand navigation bar.
  3. Click the "Filters" button in the Learner Roster toolbar to expand the filter options.
  4. Click "Manage Custom Filters" to open the filter management panel.
  5. To create a new filter, click "Create Filter".
  1. A dropdown will appear with suggested filter names such as Varsity, First Semester, Second Semester, First Quarter, and more.
  2. Select a suggested name, or choose "Other" to type in your own custom filter name.
  3. Click "Create Filter" to confirm.
  1. To assign a filter to learners, click "Assign Learners" next to the filter name.
  1. Search for learners by name or email.
  2. Select the learners you want to assign the filter to, or click "Select All" for your entire roster.
  3. Choose the action, "Assign this filter" and click Apply.
  1. To assign or remove a filter directly from an individual learner's card, click on the learner and use the custom filter toggle within their profile.
  2. Once filters are assigned, use the custom filter dropdown in the Learner Roster toolbar to quickly narrow your roster view to a specific group.
  3. To rename an existing filter, return to "Manage Custom Filters", click "Edit Filters", and update the filter name using the "Save Name" option next to it.
