How to Unassigning Learner Material

Step-By-Step Instructions

1. Login to your RefReps Instructor portal (https://learn.refreps.com/login)

2. There are two options to unassign learners from courses: 

• Option 1: Unassign Individually

  • Select the “Manage Learners” icon,

  • Navigate to the individual you would like to unassign material from.

  • Click the "Assign/Unassign Material"(first icon within the learners actions).

  • Select the “(Learners Name) Content” right side tab.

  • Click “Remove” next to each course you would like to unassign the selected learner from.

• Option 2: Mass Unassign

  • Select the “Manage Learners” icon.

  • Select the “Assign Multiple Learners” button.

  • Filter to the educational material you would like to unassign multiple learners from.

  • Select the “Assigned Learners” tab to identify who currently has the material.

  • Click “Remove” next to each individual you would like to unassign the educational material from.

Note:

• If you see  when attempting to unassign material from a learner, this means that the learner has passed the first modules worth of material and the seat has been consumed. The learner will keep the course and choose to finish if they so wish.

What Happens to Seats When I Unassign a Course?

The best part about RefReps seats, is the fact that unassigning the course(s) will reapply the seat(s) to your organization's account and can be used in the future for another learner.

It's important to keep in mind that once a learner passes the first modules worth of content that seat has been consumed and can no longer be reapplied. Make sure learners are not progressing through the course if they or you are uncertain of change in the near future.

Oops! Didn't Mean to Assign That!

You are not the first and will certainly not be the last RefReps instructor who has a hiccup with assigning learners. 

If you haven't, just wait ;D. 

For those of us who wish to get ahead of the game and test our skills at unassigning; RefReps encourages instructors to attempt this process with a single learner on the first day, or on their own RefReps account!

Simply add yourself as a learner to your learner roster and assign and unassign material... YES, YOU CAN DO THIS!
