Viewing Supplemental Video Pack Materials
- Login to your RefReps Instructor account (https://learn.refreps.com/login)
- On the left-hand side under “Content”, click on “Supplemental Video Packs”.
- Navigate to the video pack you would like to view.
- Click the drop-down arrow and click “View Material”.
- Within “View Material” you can watch the video plays and make the call.
Note:
- Supplemental Video Packs are not factored into the completion of a RefReps course certification. These point-of-view videos are simply a supplemental tool to help new and veteran officials train before stepping onto the court, field, mat, track, or deck. Users can choose to utilize the Supplemental Video Packs as assignments, but grading will need to be done separately from the RefReps OES.

What Ways Can an Instructor Use a POV Video Pack
The RefReps Supplemental Video Packs can be utilized in numerous ways to help strengthen learner knowledge. Below we have provided a list of different ways hundreds of instructors across the nation have utilized the supplemental video packs in their classes.
- Instructors have displayed the videos within the POV video packs on a projector/iPad or whatever may be available and have learners:
- Individually walk up and attempt to make the call
- Have all learners write their answers down, and have an end assessment
- Raise their hands (select a learner and ask they to explain why, if applicable)
- Split the room (have learners stand in the middle of the room and split to which call they believe is correct)
- Instructors have assigned leaners the POV video packs in tandem with the course, so that learns can choose to utilize the supplemental video pack training tool at their rate.
- Instructors have created their own assignment structure for the POV video pack to be sent out after certain spots in the course that "connect best" with the material.
- Instructors have leveraged the analysis video content within the POV video packs to help provide further multi-angle play breakdowns, that offer the most in-depth analysis of why a call is made the way it is.
What Ways Can a Learner Use a POV Video Pack
The RefReps Supplemental Video Packs can be utilized in numerous ways to help strengthen learner knowledge. Below we have provided a list of different ways thousands of learners across the nation have utilized the supplemental video packs in their officiating learning/training journey.
- Learners have displayed the videos within the POV video packs on their TV or a device that enlarges the screen. From there, stand up, step back a reasonable distance from your screen and make the calls as if you were on the field, court, mat, track, or deck. RefReps recommends doing the full body motion to help master the officiating mechanics of the sport.
- Learners have taken it upon themselves to make it a group activity and invite their friends to test their skills by displaying the videos to their TV and making it a bit more competitive.
- Learners have pulled up their supplemental video packs in the locker room prior to stepping into the game, so that they could get a few reps in and get in the right mindset before it comes time to making the call that really matters.
- Learners have found that in their downtime, they can quickly hop into their POV video packs and get a few calls in and gain a rich understanding of why calls are made the way they are.
