How to Setup Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your RefReps account by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password. This article walks you through enabling MFA on your account.

Before You Start

• Make sure you have access to a mobile phone number 
• Have your RefReps login credentials ready

Steps to Enable MFA

1. Go to learn.refreps.com/login and sign in with your username and password.
2. From your dashboard, select the Profile tab in the lefthand navigation menu.
3. Look for a section labeled Security
4. Select how you'd like to receive your verification codes:
   • PIN code - A one-time code you will set and have to recall
   • SMS/Text Message code - A revolving code to be texted to you
5. Complete Setup
   • If using a PIN, enter and verify the code and select Save Authentication Setup
   • If using SMS, enter your phone number and select Save Authentication Setup
6. Confirm MFA is active. Once setup is complete, you should see that your Protection Status button is turned on.

What Happens Next

The next time you log in, after entering your password you'll be prompted to enter a verification code from your chosen MFA method before you can access your account.

Troubleshooting

• Didn't receive a code? If using SMS, please allow 3-5 minutes for message delivery. Check inbox filters as messages may be filtered out of your main text inbox.
• Lost access to your authenticator app or phone? Contact RefReps Support at support@refreps.com to have MFA disabled on your account.
• Need to change your MFA method? Select  Reset  and restart the process with the alternative MFA method.
